After worshiping Mother Shakti for nine days, she attacked Lanka on Dashami.
In this way, there are many stories behind the practice of worshiping Mata Durga in Navratras.
After this, the festival of Navratri started and worshiped Goddess Durga.
According to a legend, during Navratri, Mother Durga killed the demon named Mahishasura and freed the gods from her sufferings.
Mahishasura had attained unique powers by worshiping Lord Shiva and the three gods i.e. Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh were also unable to defeat him.  All the gods were frightened by the terror of Mahishasura demon.
At that time all the gods combined their respective powers to incarnate Durga.  Mother Durga, born with the power of many powers, killed Mahishasura and took away everyone’s sufferings.
During the Navratri festival, nine different forms of Goddess Durga are respected, and worshiped, also known as Navadurga.

 1. Shailputri-
Shailputri is the first divine form of Mother Durga. Shail means Shikhar.
In the Shastras, Shailputri is known as the daughter of Parvat (Shikhar).
It is generally believed that the goddess Shailputri is the daughter of Mount Kailash, but it is a very low level of thinking, but it has real meaning on the path of yoga – the highest place of consciousness.
It is very interesting, when the energy is at its skin level, then you can experience it.
You cannot understand it before it reaches its peak level.
Because this is the best place of consciousness.  Which originated from the peak of energy. Here peak means the highest place of our deepest experiences or deepest feelings.

When you are 100 percent angry, you will feel that anger weakens your body.  Actually we do not fully express our anger when you are in a hundred percent anger.  If you express anger completely, then you can get out of this situation soon.
You can consume it only when you are in hundred things.  In the same way, when you express anger completely, you will experience a surge of energy and at the same time you will get out of anger immediately.
Have you seen how children behave?  Whatever they do they do hundred percent.
If they are angry then they are hundred percent angry at that moment.  And then immediately after a few minutes they release that anger as well.
They do not get tired even if they get angry.
But if you get angry then your anger makes you tired.
Why is this?  This is because you do not express your anger hundred percent.  Now this does not mean that you get angry all the time.  Then you will also have to face the problem due to which anger comes.
When you reach the peak of any experience or emotions, then you experience the emergence of divine consciousness.  Because it is the best peak of consciousness. This is the real meaning of Shailputri.

 2.Brahmacharini Mata
The one who has no beginning or end.  The one who is the best.
When you close your eyes and meditate.
Then you feel that the energy reaches its peak or peak.
She has become one with the Mother Goddess.
And she has indulged in the same.
The divinity God is within you, not outside.
You cannot say that I know it ‘because it is infinite.
The moment you know it becomes limited.  And now you can’t say that I don’t know it because it’s there – so how do you not know?  Can you say that I do not know my hand.

Your hand is there or not, so you know it.  And at the same time it is infinite, so you do not know it.  These two expressions run simultaneously.
Are you shocked, amazed or caught in a duel!
If someone asks you if you know the Mother Goddess?  Then you have to be silent because if your answer is that I don’t know then it would be untrue.
And if your answer is yes, I know, then with your limited intelligence and knowledge, you are tying it to the limit to know it.  She (Mother Goddess) is unlimited, eternal, which can neither be understood nor can be bound within a boundary.
Knowing means that you are tying it to the boundary.  Can you tie the eternal to a limit?  If you can do that then it is not eternal.
Brahmacharini means one who is in motion in infinite eternal.
An energy that is neither rooted nor dormant, but one that wanders into the eternal.  It is very important to understand this.  One is moving, the other is existing.  This is the meaning of Brahmacharya. It also means not living in inferiority, but living in perfection.
Virginity is synonymous with celibacy because in it you are in front of a whole and not a limited one.
Lust is always limited.  Communication in a limited area of consciousness.  Thus Brahmacharini is the all-pervasive consciousness.

 3. Mata
Chandraghanta
The moon is a symbol of our mind.  The mind has its own ups and downs.  Often we keep getting entangled with our mind.
All negative thoughts come in our mind, jealousy comes, hate comes and you struggle to get rid of them and clear your mind.
I say that is not going to happen.  You cannot get rid of your mind.
You can run anywhere, even if you run away on the Himalayas, your mind will run with you.
It is similar to your shadow.
As soon as negative thoughts come in our mind, we feel discouraged disturbed.
We try to get rid of them in various ways.
But it only works for some time.
After some time the same thoughts again surround us
And they reach back there only.
 Where we started

So do not get caught in the struggle to get rid of these thoughts.  ‘Chandra’ is a symbol of our changing feelings thoughts.
Just like the moon decreases and increases.  ‘Ghanta’ means like the bells of the temple.  You can play the bells of the temple in any way, always the same sound comes out of it.
Similarly, a chaotic mind which is entangled in various thoughts.  When concentrated and devoted to God, then the rising divine power arises, and this is the meaning of Chandraghanta / Chandraghanta.
A situation in which our chaotic mind gets concentrated.  Do not run away from your mind because this mind is in some way a manifestation of the divine form.
This divine form exists in grief, misery, hunger and even peace.
The essence is to take everyone together, whether it is happiness or sorrow, collecting all thoughts, feelings, like a huge hour-like sound of gharials.
This name of Goddess ‘Chandraghanta / Chandraghanta’ has the same meaning and is celebrated on the occasion of the third Navratri.

Just as Ashwath tree gives oxygen around the clock, similarly gourd, pumpkin absorbs or absorbs energy and spreads it.
The whole creation – direct and indirect, expressed and unmarked – is like a big ball, a circular pumpkin.  It has all kinds of variety – from small to large.
‘Ku’ means small, ‘K’ means energy and ‘egg’ means cosmic sphere – the smallest cosmic sphere of creation or energy.  Energy is transmitted from small to large throughout the universe.  It varies from small to large and from small to large;  It grows from seed to fruit and then from seed to seed again.  Similarly, energy or consciousness has the special property of being subtle to subtle and being the largest to the largest, which Kushmanda describes, the Mother Goddess is known as Kushmanda.  It also means that the Mother Goddess appears in us as a life force.
Feel yourself like a pumpkin by sitting for a few moments.  It means here that one should upgrade oneself and merge his wisdom and intellect into the supreme intelligence which is the form of the Mother Goddess.  Like a pumpkin, you too should experience abundance and fullness in your life.  Also, experience energy and life force in every particle of the whole world.  To experience this omnipotent, awakened, direct intelligence in the universe is humbling.

 Intelligence, Goddess of knowledge:
The fifth form of the Mother Goddess is popularly known as Skandamata.  Skanda is also a name of Lord Kartikeya.  Which is a simultaneous indicator of knowledge and work power.  Skanda is the result of a mixture of these two.  Skandmata is the divine power that brings forth practical knowledge – those which transform knowledge into karma.
The Shiva element is blissful, always calm and beyond any kind of karma.  Goddess Tattva Adishakti is responsible for all kinds of karma.  It is believed that the Goddess is a confluence of will power, knowledge power and action power.  When the Shiva element combines with these Trishakti.  So Skanda is born.  Skandamata is the symbol of beginning, the source of knowledge and action.  We can also call it action, action, inspired by functional knowledge or correct knowledge.
It has been seen all the time that knowledge is there, but it has no purpose or practical use.  But there is also knowledge, which has a strong purpose advantage.  Which is earned by the verb.
You fall physics chemistry.  Which you often use more in daily life.  And on the other hand, knowledge of medical system, medicine is used more day by day.

When you learn how to fix a machine.  So, if it goes bad, then you can correct it by using that knowledge.  Similarly, when an electronic thing goes bad, if you know how to fix it, then you can fix it using that knowledge.
This type of knowledge is more practical knowledge.  Therefore, Skanda is a symbol of right practical knowledge and action together.  Skanda tattva is just another form of Goddess.
We often say that Brahm is omnipresent, omnipresent.  But when you face any challenge or difficult situation.  What do you do then, how will you apply which knowledge or use.  You have to be active in the problem or difficult situation.  Therefore, when your karma is indulged in the right practical knowledge, then the Skanda element arises.  And Goddess Durga is the mother of Skanda Tattva.

Whatever happens in front of us, we give the name of hypocrisy.  It is not necessary that we see it all.  That which is invisible, which our senses cannot perceive is far beyond our imagination and vast.
The subtle world that is invisible, latent.  His power is run by mother Katyayani.  They are indicative of everything in this form, which is invisible or beyond comprehension.  Maa Katyayani is a symbol of the super secret of divinity.
How anger is a sign of positive force.  And when it becomes a symbol of negative devilish power.  There is a very deep distinction between these two.  Don’t just think that anger is just a negative quality or power.  Anger has its own importance, its own place.
Anger paired with positivity is associated with intelligence, and anger infused with negativity is full of emotions and selfishness.  Positive anger arises from an adult intelligence.  If anger is against ignorance and injustice, it is appropriate.  Mostly anyone who is angry thinks that his anger is towards some injustice, so he is justified.  But if you look deeply, deeply, you will realize that it is not really so.  In these situations, anger becomes a bond.  Therefore, positive anger which is towards ignorance and injustice is a symbol of Mother Katyayani.

 8. Maa Mahagauri symbol of beauty
Mahagauri is the eighth form of the Mother Goddess.

It is not a physical, but a supernatural form beyond the world.  There is a subtle to subtle form.  The first step to realize this is to sit in meditation.  In meditation you experience the universe.  That is why just sit and meditate.  Do not think about God.  Go into nothingness, within yourself.  Once you reach there, then the next step is where you will see all the different mantras, different powers, all of them will be awakened.  Therefore, if you are meditating, then all Yajna, all worship will become more effective.  Otherwise they will not have that much effect.  It is just like you sow field seeds but which fall elsewhere.
Not under the tap.  Water comes, but your glass remains empty.  Or you hold your glass upside down.  If you remove it even after ten minutes, there will be no water in it.  Because you didn’t catch it properly.
